The geometric constructed all-case grotesque comes along with two additional integrated extravagant stylistic sets for the whole alphabet and some astonishing special characters as well. The plain linear-antiqua with classical proportions offers numerous combination possibilities between the ordinary alphabet of TJ Evolette A and the two alternate alphabets. This variety encourages unusual and extroverted creation in editorial and poster design.

the 405, my life line to the world around me
this is strictly a typographic poster to illustrate how the 405 Freeway relates to the relationship aspect of life, the ever changing flow of emotions a person can go through with the ever changing flow of traffic. theres good days and then theres bad days, just like traffic… theres bumper to bumper and then smooth sailing, which can change your mood instantly and this poster shows my love/hate relationship with this life line i call the 405

This new hand-drawn creation from artists Giuseppe Salerno and Paco Gonzalez is exactly that, art and typography. 27 letters. 27 distinct typographies. It took more than a month of hard work to complete the entire alphabet. Each letter was created to stand alone, each letter representing a particular style, while at the same time maintaining unity when placed together. The effect is an a eye-popping headline.

I produced ‘Erase’ a short movie about letterpress. To be able to avoid what we learnt at school we first needed to follow the rules a lot in order to understand how they work. Forgetting these rules allows us to be more free, independent and most of the time it makes us feel unique. This poster is all about using the rules, the precision of the letter-press process, the choice of the paper and ink, the time spent on the work but it is also about destroying all of these things to make an unique object.

Wayne White is an American artist, art director, illustrator, puppeteer, and much, much more. Born and raised in Chattanooga, Wayne has used his memories of the South to create inspired works for film, television, and the fine art world. After graduating from Middle Tennessee State University, Wayne traveled to New York City where he worked as an illustrator for the East Village Eye, New York Times, Raw Magazine, and the Village Voice. In 1986, Wayne became a designer for the hit television show Pee-wee’s Playhouse, and his work was awarded with three Emmys. After traveling to Los Angeles with his wife, Mimi Pond, Wayne continued to work in television and designed sets and characters for shows such as Shining Time Station, Beakman’s World, Riders In The Sky, and Bill & Willis. He also worked in the music video industry, winning Billboard and MTV Music Video Awards as an art director for seminal music videos including The Smashing Pumpkins’ ‘Tonight, Tonight’ and Peter Gabriel’s ‘Big Time.’

More recently, Wayne has had great success as a fine artist and has created paintings and public works that have been shown all over the world. His most successful works have been the world paintings featuring oversized, three-dimensional text painstakingly integrated into vintage landscape reproductions. The message of the paintings is often thought-provoking and almost always humorous, with Wayne pointing a finger at vanity, ego, and his memories of the South. Wayne has also received great praise for several public works he has created recently, including a successful show at Rice University where he built the world’s largest George Jones puppet head for a piece called ‘Big Lectric Fan To Keep Me Cool While I Sleep.’

José Azevedo is a brazilian art director and illustrator. He started his career in Vitória in 2003, working for several local advertising agencies as Aquatro, Ampla and Prisma. In 2007 he moved to São Paulo and had an opportunity to work for bigger clients at Luminas and Fischer+Fala!. After 2 years he came back to Vitória as a freelancer.
